Refund Policy

This Refund Policy governs purchases made through Grimblo ("we," "us," or "our"), including subscriptions and domain registrations. By making a purchase, you agree to this policy.

1. Subscriptions

General Rule โ€” No Refunds on Renewals

All subscription payments are non-refundable. When you subscribe to a paid plan, you are paying for access to the Service for that billing period. If you cancel, your access continues until the end of the paid period and no partial refund is issued for unused time.

New Subscriptions โ€” 7-Day Refund Window

If you subscribe to a paid plan for the first time and request a refund within 7 calendar days of the initial charge, we will issue a full refund with no questions asked, provided that:

  • This is your first subscription to any paid Grimblo plan.
  • You have not previously received a refund from Grimblo.
  • You contact us at billing@grimblo.com within the 7-day window.

Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not trigger a refund for the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until the billing period ends.

2. Domain Registrations

Domain registrations are non-refundable. Once a domain is registered, we incur immediate, non-recoverable costs with our upstream registrar. For this reason, all domain registration fees are final, regardless of circumstances.

Before completing a domain purchase, please verify:

  • The domain name is spelled correctly.
  • The chosen TLD (extension) is what you intended.
  • You understand the yearly renewal cost, which will be charged automatically if auto-renew is enabled.

In the event of a technical error on our end resulting in a duplicate charge or failed registration, please contact us and we will investigate promptly.

3. Domain Renewals

Domain renewals are non-refundable once processed. You are responsible for ensuring your payment method is valid at the time of renewal. We will send reminder emails before renewal is due. If a domain expires due to payment failure, recovery fees may apply and we cannot guarantee the domain's availability.

4. Exceptions

We may, at our sole discretion, issue refunds outside of this policy in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate charges: If you were charged more than once for the same item due to a technical error.
  • Service outage: If the Service was unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours in a billing period and this was caused solely by Grimblo.
  • Unauthorized charge: If a charge resulted from a compromised account, subject to investigation.

Exceptions are reviewed case-by-case and may take up to 10 business days to resolve.

5. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer for a charge that is not eligible for a refund under this policy, we reserve the right to:

  • Immediately suspend your account pending investigation
  • Permanently terminate your account if the chargeback is found to be fraudulent
  • Dispute the chargeback with appropriate documentation

We strongly encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback. Most issues can be resolved quickly.

6. Affiliate Commissions

Affiliate commissions are held for a period of 30 days before becoming eligible for payout. Commissions may be reversed ("clawed back") if the underlying subscription is refunded or a chargeback is processed. Commissions are not subject to independent refunds.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund where eligible under this policy:

  1. Email us at billing@grimblo.com
  2. Include your account email address and the date and amount of the charge
  3. Briefly describe the reason for your request

We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5โ€“10 business days, depending on your payment method and bank.
